Have spent some time over the last couple of days taking a good look at “stock” photo images and I realized that a lot of the photos I’ve taken probably aren’t stock or microstock material, rather a lot of the images are of things I like seeing, probably more akin to wall art.
So, the other day I set out to try and create what I thought might be a decent stock photo and the results can be seen below. (Click thumbnails for larger images.)

The first image of a row of chess pawns is symbolic for just about anybody that works for someone else. The next image of the first move is symbolic of strategy and planning while the lighthouse and church images can represent at the very least guidance.
I’m not at all sure if this is the way I want to take my hobby as the images feel somewhat contrived and my personal preference seems to be shoot first and consider the audience later
Which is not to say that’s a better way of taking pictures, just a different way.
I’m wondering if anyone out there has had a similar experience. Feel free to let me know.
That’s about all I really have time for today. If you like any of the photos you see on this site please feel free to visit my albums over at Shutterpoint and comments are welcome here on the blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
